In the Jonker Street of Melaka, a man stands under a banner that reads MALAYSIA BOLEH and eventually has set his name in the Malaysia’s Book of Records. This is kung fu master Ho Eng Hui; he pierces coconuts with a finger faster than anyone else in Malaysia.According to master Ho, he will set a new record in this upcoming 31^st August 2007, conjunction with the celebration of 50th anniversary of Malaysia in Jonker Street.

One of his extraordinary performance that you can witness in Jonker Street is the coconut piercing. During his performance of nearly 3-hour, kung fu master Ho’s voice fills with emotion, and he frequently points to his heart. Kung fu master Ho passes around a coconut for people to inspect. He shows his index finger, cruelly bent from previous coconut penetrations. And then he pauses to pitch a bottle of red-colored oil that supposedly eases pain, stimulates muscles, and saves marriages. After an impassioned riff on his special elixir, the boleh spirit summons him. He emits several screams and jabs his finger into the shell over and over until it punches through, splattering coconut milk everywhere.

At the end of the performance, kung fu master Ho bends over the crowd cheers and groans in a superior display of showbiz and promotional savvy. Audience can purchase the potion oil at a cost of RM 10 per bottle.
