The Malaqa House Museum Sdn. Bhd own by Mr. Hoe Kok Yong was awarded Heritage Awards in year 2000. Its core business product is furniture imported from Thailand, China, Indonesia and Malaysia. The House is also selling fine art from local artist, antiques, garden decorative and designs. The Heritage House itself is an attraction as it is the most complete antique house that one could find in Malacca. Nan Yang China Style is a Chinese library and it already operated about 2 years. The vision is to promote the shop and book to the public around the area. Beside that, the other vision is to remember their friend that contribute to the society by doing charity.  All the equipment and decoration is fully sponsor by peoples. Mostly 80% of the book is Chinese book from Taiwan and local peoples. All the residents are encouraged to become a membership and the privilege they can borrow the book, magazine, tape, and video from the library. Membership fees are RM 5.00 per years. The period of borrowing the books is 2 to 3 weeks. Normally in the weekend, peoples like to visit this library. The unique form the shop is they still maintain the environment that is last about 60 years.

This temple is dedicated the Deity Vinagayar, whose statue occupies the central altar. Made with the highest quality of Indian black stone, the statue depicts Vinayagar in his customary form with an elephant head at top, a human torso with four arms. The deity is a favourite among the Hindus because it is believed that he is a remover of onstacles. Also represented in the temple are Vinayagar’s parents, Shiva and Parvathi, and his younger brother Muruga.

Strategically located in the center of Hereen Street (right behind Jonker Street), the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum promises an unforgetable experience of a journey back in ancient time.

The Babas and Nyonyas are widely known as the descendants of the Chinese who intermarried with the local women when they first arrived in Malaya 600 years ago. The men are called “Babas” while the women are “Nyonyas”. These Babas and Nyonyas are very Chinese in spirits and tradition but Malay in form. They speak the Malay patois which is a Malay language mixed with Chinese phrases.

This museum can be described as “Chinese Baroque” or “Chinese Palladian”, its architecture is Neo-Classical European and characterised by Greco-Roman columns. There are various floral and pictorial motifs grace and beautify parts of the front of the house whilst the interior is adorned with intricately carved fittings finished in gold leaf.

For example, the staircase is one of the finest and intricately carved features of the house, even on its under side is finished with gold leaf gildings. This type of unique architecture feature is believed to be the only in Malacca, if not the country.

Inside the museum, there are a mixed variety of fine furnitures to be found. The Chinese furniture are mainly blackwood and in-laid with mother-of-pearl. Even the sideboards and cupboards are also carved with floral and pictorial motifs. These locally made furniture has very strong Victorian and Dutch influences.

A visit to the museum is a must for everyone who travels to Malacca, this is a place you would not want to miss!

Masjid Kg Kling completed in 1748. The architecture of this mosque is Sumatran with strong Hindu Influences. This is particularly evident in minaret which resembles a pagoda on closer inspection, you will find an unsual blend of English and Portuguese glaze tiles, Corinthian columns with symmetrical arches in the main prayer hall, a Victorin chandeller and Moorish cast iron lamp-posts in the place of abulation for pre-prayer cleansing.
