He was born in Indonesia in the year of 1941 and graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. In the year 1970 -1976, Low Hai Hong was the chairman of YMCA Art Club and Organized Three Annual Autumn Art Exhibition. He was awarded “Distinction in Visual Arts Creation” by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni. The most highlighted event in his career was his trip to Paris, France. He spent 5 months as a resident artist at Citi de Ville, Paris, France. A markedly different environment from Asiatic charm of Indonesia, Paris offered a perspective deeply stepped in tradition of the Renaissance and Romanticism. Exploring trips into the inner streets of Paris and visits to Amsterdam’s art museums and galleries provided the final emotive trigger that sparked arguable the most creative and important breakthrough of this painting odyssey.
