Sri Poyyotha Vinayagar Temple

This temple is dedicated the Deity Vinagayar, whose statue occupies the central altar. Made with the highest quality of Indian black stone, the statue depicts Vinayagar in his customary form with an elephant head at top, a human torso with four arms. The deity is a favourite among the Hindus because it is believed that he is a remover of onstacles. Also represented in the temple are Vinayagar’s parents, Shiva and Parvathi, and his younger brother Muruga.
